ilovecraig929 Posted March 28, 2007 #52 Share Posted March 28, 2007 i also live in georgia. we live in north georgia. dahlonega...i feel pretty lucky to live so close to some great ports! i've only cruised 3 times but i plan to do it a lot more! it really helps not having to think of buying airline tickets when you go to book a cruise! :)
Katz A Prowl Posted March 28, 2007 #53 Share Posted March 28, 2007 Thank you :)I really appreciate the comments! :) I'm a new cruiser too. Went on my first last October and with lots of help from people on CC I think I did pretty well as a newbie! I would suggest getting the insurance......not only for hurricane stuff. What happens if a week before you cruise you get ill and can't go? What if while driving to the port you have a car accident and can not make it? What if you get offered the job of your dreams and have to cancel after final payment? There are a million things that could happen.........better safe than sorry.:D It's not that much and at least if anything happens you will be okay. Better to be a smart, well protected traveler than one who gets in a jam with no way out.
