judyf Posted March 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2007 Leaving Sunday and still trying to decide which of these to do on our own. Could you tell me which one you would do and why!!! Is there a banana boat ride at either place?

UKRosie Posted April 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2007 Sorry this is too late but for others wanting to know we went to the Malibu Beach club last week and found it rather a tacky, packed and not very nice beach. We were plagued by pedlars and the only beachbar was a burger and chips affair. I gather from others that the free beach Brighton is much nicer and less crowded. Malibu's at the North end of Brighton Beach. You need to walk South, towards the harbour and your ship(in plain sight!) - in the direction of Weiser's little beach bar at the other end. Somewhere along that half-mile? stretch you'll hit a sweet spot somewhere, I'm sure. Weiser's is small and laid back, no big deal but I think they have showers and changing facility, and they do a reasonably-priced Buffet lunch on busy cruise-ship days. The Weiser's manager guy is Andrew. There were a few cute Spanish senorita's there that evening I passed thru quickly to take some pics for you. I should hang out there more..on Wednesdays, the day Holiday Dream makes her weekly call.
