I just got an email from RC and wanted to pass it along.

 

The deal is a two category upgrade (interior and oceanview) on ships sailing between 9/1/07 and 3/31/08 for the following ships:

 

Majesty, Monarch, Sovereign, Enchantment and Grandeur

 

and on interiors only for:

Freedom

Liberty

 

sounds pretty good to me!

If I ask for a complimentary upgrade when we get to the departure port, think they would go for it?

I do not mean to sound stupid but what exactly does a 2 cat upgrade mean? Is it anything like a guarantee taht never ends up with anything better? If I booked an inside, what would a 2 cat upgrade mean for that?I never quite know when it is best to book a cruise and what a good deal is.

For instance,if you book a Q(cheapest inside), they will upgrade you to a M(inside)...................or if you book an I(cheapest oceanview) you'll get an G(Oceanview)................they will upgrade you within the same category,NOT from an inside to an outside.......

Don't you have to pay $259 pp for the upgrade? The links RCI provides in their emails to me don't work and I can't find the offer at RCI's website.

The $259 is the starting price for the cruise................
