Help with Athens Hotel

We chose AVA Hotel for our May trip based on recommendations both places. A friend stayed at Herodian a couple of years ago and liked it. Both are within a short walk of the Acropolis.

We stayed at the Elektra Palace last yr. and very much enjoyed it. It's an excellent location close to the Plaka and the views of the Acropolis at night from the rooftop are breathtaking.

I am looking for at least 3 star rating for around $175 - $250 per night.

Hi-- Check out the Hera hotel- Good ratings from Trip Advisor. Runs around 160E per night. Close to all the sights.

I alos suggest AVA. Friendly, helpful staff, great location, HUGE rooms with free internet, mini kitchen. The location could not be better. The more expensive rooms have terrances with a view of the Acropolis. The standard rooms are very nice .. just no terrance and no view.

I opted for the Magna Grecia as it was rated highly on Tripadvisor.com and within my price range. Took a deluxe room too

We did priceline and got the Intercontinental for $100. a night. Central location, close to everything.
