Luggage size ?

Planning to do a transatlantic and want to know what size suitcase is reasonable. 27" ? I currently use a 29" however I can drive to all of the ports when using this. Since Carnival has laundries and weight is limited w/ air travel, I thought I should go smaller.:)

Also, when viewing the deck plans on Carnival, does the areas w/ the L indicate the laundries?

The "L" probably does indicate laundry.

 

As fara as luggage size goes. Go to the webste of the airline you are flying when you come back from your transatlantic cruise.

 

Most airlines now have a pretty hefty charge for any checked luggage over 50 lbs. Some are statrting to charge for any checked luggage at all.
