We leave tomorrow morning. Do you have any last minute tips for me? I am all packed and ready... My MP-3 is loaded... My 'beach' book is packed. My docs are secure... I am in a "Marley-State-Of-Mind"...

Figure out what you need to do to secure your home, ie: Set the water heater to Vacation, unplug the Garage Door opener, close and lock all windows and side doors, Get with the Neighbors to pick up your mail etc.

Then have a nice trip.

Make sure you packed a power strip. I like to be able to plug in more than one item at a time.

Finally I found someone that has sailed on the victory!!!

Please please tell me this is a good ship...we have Aft cabins on Upper Deck......???? Anything you know about this would be greatly appreciated. It is my first cruise...I am not really any good at this either. Have made a few posts but can't find them?

I've only been on 3 Carnival ships and the Victory is my favorite. :D We had a balcony cabin on the Lido deck, so I can't say much regarding your cabin. I'm sure it will be wonderful! What questions do you have and I will try to answer them. Have you gone to the review section of CC? I'm sure that there are tons of reviews there for your reading pleasure.

Be sure to unplug or just turn off the power strips for items that you clearly are not going to be using over the next week.

Set the furnace to vacation mode or a temp that it won't run constantly while you are gone

Either leave a note with the mailman/woman to hold your mail until you get back and provide them with that date or have a neighbor/family pick up your mail

Definitely take a powerstrip

Portable cd player or if you have an ipod like most of us, take your docking station

Smuggle some liquor on board

MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THAT DOUBLE SHOT OF HENNESSEY! :)

OH YEAH AND UMMM...GOOOO GATORS!!!!! LOL...

Have a great time and take plenty of pics and enjoy yourselves to the fullest!

Talk with ya when you return...

One more thing I always carry is copies of all passports and place in a seperate location from the originals like a pouch in your checked luggage. You never know when you might lose the originals or have a bag stolen that contains them.
