Kensington palace tour- worth it?

I will be staying in hotel right nearby - thought it might be a nice tour - we have 1-1/2 days in London, 2nd day (full) will be spent touring th big attraction sites, thought my 1/2 day I would take in the Palace/ or just walk the park? , Harrods, and window shop/walk - till the jet lag hits....

 

The victoria & albert Museum is open late Friday night- so maybe we will take that in since we are staying nearby....

 

anybody have some "must see/do" suggestions in Knightsbridge/Kensington area?
