Has anyone been here?

 

Does the same shuttle that goes to Mendenhall Glacier stop here? What would be the best way to get there after finishing up whale watching with Orca Enterprises?

Yes, I have been here. Very nice attraction, if interested in gardens. However, despite the name, it is not near any glacier and not a stop for drop off by tour operators. From downtown, you can get there via city bus- with TIME, cab would be a faster more direct option, or a ship tour. There may be the option for a tour from a dockside booth??? Most likely?? I suggest you email them and ask what is available for a cruise ship passenger? The cab transport will be the costliest.

What a wonderful place! Only weather was awful (surprise)...

We were in Alaska May 22-29 and went to Glacier Gardens during that timeframe. All the flowers were not planted; they were sitting in boxes waiting to be planted. We saw more greenery than flowers. If you are not into trees, ferns, and flowers (when in bloom), I would save your money. We enjoyed it once, but probably would not go back again.
