windows open in oceanview rooms?

No they don't. If you want to feel the ocean breeze (like my wife likes) you need to get a balcony room.

okay, so even with A/C do the rooms tend to be stale, humid and stuffy since there isn't a fresh air option?

FurBuddy, some folks do bring a small portable fan to move the air in the rooms. Actually I never found the air in an ocean view cabin to be particularly stale but Hubby and I don't smoke. I suppose it could get stale in the case of smokers. I do agree with the poster above who advised that you book a balcony if you are concerned about stale air. The truth is that sometimes a balcony does not cost that much more than an oceanview if you shop carefully.

If you're cruising the Caribbean, it will be more "humid' with the door open, than with it closed!

Thanks for asking if the windows open. I was thinking about booking an oceanview cabin for a 3=4 night cruise because I couldn't find a ship with balcony rooms.

We had a balcony on Radiance and left the door cracked open at night to hear the waves and get a nice ocean breeze through the cabin. To be honest that was the only time I really enjoyed having the balcony as we seemed to never spend any time out their.

 

I thought we would really feel the OV on Majesty was a little stale/humid, but that wasn't the case at all. I suppose if you were a smoker you would probably prefer a balcony.
