diann744 Posted April 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2007 You jaded veterans out there are going to think this is the stupidest question ever but I have to ask it. My sis and I just booked a BC verandah guarantee on the three-day LA to Vancouver Amsterdam repositioning. This is my first verandah, since the cruise was short enough that I could afford something other than my typical outside with porthole/tiny window. We just got our room assignment for an A verandah. Now, alphabet training was a long time ago but I do remember that A comes before B and C so I know this is an upgrade. My question is: is it only because of the addition of a bathtub and the nifty mid-ship location or is there something more to it? Can I assume this means we don’t have to row? Gold lamé life jackets? Free valet parking on the Lido? Thanks for any and all informative and/or amusing information! Diann :D
localady Posted April 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2007 Hi! I believe the difference with the A verandah cabin and the B and C are location, the A being generally the preferable location midship. The amenities in all the above mentioned cabins are exactly the same btw! I hope you have a great trip and enjoy your verandah very much! :D :D
fatcat04 Posted April 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2007 Gold lamé life jackets? Diann :D I think that is a "suite" perk :p Happy cruising!! :D
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2007 A - mini suite - by old terms - no suite perks like you get in PS and S. A - good location.
jhannah Posted April 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2007 The only perk is the verandah. Just beware -- you will be spoiled forever! :)
sail7seas Posted April 18, 2007 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2007 Category "B" and "A" cabins are the same on Amsterdam.....all the "R" and "S" class ships. The only difference is location. There are no special amenities offered for an "A" that you would not receive in a "B". The cabins will be the same. Enjoy it. Have a great cruise.
