2009 Galveston - starting at $699

I saw a couple of questions about the new J and R Galveston schedule yesterday, but just saw the new 2009 prices myself this morning on VTG then pulled up RCI site. Yikes. Cheapest inside is $699 and cheapest OV is $899. I guess I am surprised that prices are that high, I expected a little better that far in advance.

 

If someone wants to flame me for saying $699 is too high for an inside guarantee that far in advance, go ahead. :(

 

I was watching with a friend here who says he wouldn't book with his wife if the price comes out over $100 a day including tax....oppps even a inside guarantee went over his minimum booking price.

 

I don't hate RCI, I am going clear to Florida this fall just to get a RCI cruise, but they are going to lose me long term at these prices, other than for last minute deals. Yikes is all I gotta say....and DARN.

 

....just disappointed. sorry, but yep I have to say I'm dissapointed.

While I agree,its not as high as say Freedom in the summer time...

I always laugh when people say prices from Galveston are cut rate...Not.:cool:

We found Voyager prices to be higher in Galveston than the Liberty prices for the same catagory of cabin. Doesn't make sense to me.

I find the prices you quote to be quite cheap. I'm paying $899 on the Voyager next january out of Galveston. By 2009 oil and gas prices will increase so will food and other expenses. I think it's worth booking now at those prices.
