Chef Luis-Mexican cuisine tour

Can any cruisers who are taking the Mexican cuisine excursion (offered by RCL mariner) pls find out when Chef Luis is leaving? Thanks.

My wife and I just went during Easter week and did this excursion with Chef Luis. I chatted with him about hearing him leave once, but he said he has no plans to. In fact, he's pushing hard to introduce a new menu. Currently, he's still doing the grouper, rice pudding, sopas combination.

I did the mexican cuisine excursion last Oct with Luis, he was super, actually i thought the whole excursion was pretty good. From what i've read here on CC a change in menu is probably overdue, though i'm not sure it really matters what you cook, it's the experience that's fun.

I hope he doesn't leave. The Mexican Cuisine and Tasting has been the best excursion I've ever booked through the cruiseline. A change in menu would be nice if I go back, but I'd like DH to experience the grouper menu this October.

We did the excursion in March and he was still there. No mention of leaving. It was a fantastic excursion. Don't care if they change the menu or not! Just as long as they DON'T change the pina coladas!!

I keep hoping they'll change the menu.... I'd really like to do this excursion, but I don't do fish... :( Everytime we go to Coz I check to see what they're currently cooking.

If you don't do fish, they will substitute chicken for you. Luis asked at the begining of the class.

We did this excursion last summer. It turned out to be one of the best excursions we've ever done!

You will have a great time! Not only is the cooking/drinking part fun, the beach is fantastic. Be sure to take your camera! Prefect place to lay back and soak up some Mexican sun, cool off in the ocean (or the pool).
