Deck Eight Promenade View?

We will be staying in a Promenade room on deck eight on the Mariner.

 

Will we be able to see what's going on along the promenade from there, or are we too high up to see much? We are in 8275.

 

I've looked at pics but its hard to tell. Thanks guys. :D

You will have a fine view, but it will be "aerial!" The best view would be to leave your cabin, and stand directly on the promenade! (I'm assuming you mean of the parade, and not general everyday activity!)

Buddies of ours had an 8th floor Promenade view room last year on Explorer. It was a great place to watch the parade...not to mention the antics of a lot of fellow cruisers who must have forgotten the promenade could be viewed....from on high!

Deck 8 is great - you can see them, but seeing you is tougher. Deck 6 is a little close for me.

 

Watching the parade isn't half as much fun as watching the rude parade watchers. They push and shove to get a closer look.

 

For you gals who like to wear low cut tops, just remember the people watching from above!

I had this exact room last September, the view was nice during the day. It was much easier to view the parade from the room although you couldn't really hear the music or singers that well.
