AZaTaz Posted April 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2007 We are on the Island Princess which stops in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala (8 AM to 6 PM) on the way to Panama Canal. For those that have been here what do you recommend?
saraisarai Posted May 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2007 Both are great---safe! I have not been to that port but have been to these 2 places 2 summers ago! Outside of Antigua is a lovely Coffee Finca (plantation)---the owners are Americans that are retired and are permenant residents of Guatemala! pacmom Posted August 1, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2007 Someone on the Oceania board took the Panama CAnal cruise this past Jan. They just walked off the ship and used one of the cabs . You tell the manager where you want to go and he gets a cab. They went to Antigua--three people, 5 hours, US $50 each. Much better than the ship's costs. They also stopped for lunch--paid on their own. Pat
