El Morro Fort how far from the Sheraton?

Does anyone know how long of a walk it is to the fort El Morro from the Sheraton Hotel? Also, has anyone heard of the restaurant El Picoteo? How is it? Is it close to the Sheraton? What other restaurants are near the hotel and are not burgers,pizza etc.... Thanks

Hola:

1. From the hotel to the el morro Fort ( walk. ) = 15 minute.

2.El picoteo rest. is at the El Convento Hotel ( 10 min. walking from the sheraton ). .

3. You have more than 50 rest. neear the Sheraton Hotel.

It would take me more than 15 minutes to walk from the Sheraton to El Morro. It is uphill! Maybe 15 minutes to walk back downhill though.

Ride the free trolley to El Morro and walk back down. Look for trolleys about a

block from the hotel, near the bus station.

1. At a quick pace, straightest possible line = 20 minutes.

 

2. At a tourist's pace, walking along the city wall, then through the City Gate = 1 hour.

 

3. At a pace to allow yourself enough time to enjoy all of the beauty that exists in Old San Juan, in the way of architecture, history, churches, the cathedral, museums, statues, plazas, outdoor cafes, people watching, etc. = maybe never!! :)

 

I prefer #3, myself...............
