Where is your cruise history on Carnival.com. I've been on seven Carnival cruises but the only ones listed on my profile are my two upcoming cruises.

Go into Carnival website

Go to my profile click on it(top)

sign in

go to view past history (on the left side) click on it and your past history should show up

There is no past history selection under my profile.

Do you have a past guest number linked to your profile? If that doesn't work you can call Carnival and ask them your cruise history and they will tell you the dates you've sailed before. I hope this helps.:)

Thanks, my past guest number is not linked and I cannot enter it. I get an error message. I've e-mailed Carnival about it. I know what my cruise history is, I just want to mke sure Carnival knows so I will get Platinm status on cruise 10.

If everyone did this the regular line would be shorter than the VIP line! Sometimes the VIP rooms are small and if everyone brought their group or families in they would be very over crowded. It is not fair for the people who have paid for the privilege or who have earned it to check in the VIP line and be slowed down by having people in the VIP line that don't belong there.

I was just passing along the information that she gave me. I also stated that it is not a big deal if if the extra people that belong to the VIP group use that line provided they are not slowing anyone down. She also said that sometimes if the ship boarding they will take some people from the regualar line and put them in VIP line. Somehow how I think that the amount of people that have paid for a Cat 11 or 12 and those who have sailed many times are still in the minority therefore the VIP line would not be as long as regular checkin even if groups and especially family allowed them to join them in line. I sortof compare it to Disneyland. The people who are hadicapped get to go to the front of the line and they get to bring their whole group with them so they can be together. This is my parents first cruise and they are excited about their Cat 11 room and want to be able to be with their family while they checkin and board and take pictures etc. However, I see what you are saying about the line and I wouldn't want to slow others down.:)

Thanks Pittipat. It is right in the front of my docs. Would have never looked there in a million years. Magic words "Proceed to Carnival's VIP Check in"

Ha, I knew it. I swear I had my last docs for a month and I just glanced at them one day and my eyes picked up vip and thats the only reason I knew it. glad I could help another blind person. :)

Good luck! Have a great cruise on the Valor! I have done the Valor on both itineraries and loved both of them. You will have great time. She is a very nice ship!:)

Your parents will have such a great time...they will love their suite. My family also love the suites. If embarking from Long Beach, your parents will be escorted into the VIP room (there is no "line") No one is brought in from other lines that is not a VIP .... If the terminal is busy there could be other VIP's waiting for the 1-2 employees that work in VIP and are entering all the information into the computer.

I totally understand that you want to stay together but IMHO if I one of those waiting behind you I would not really appreciate it. Once they have checked in, your parents can wait for you by the Photo area, take the family picture, then embark together. Or they can join you in the regular line. Either way, you will have a wonderful cruise!!

My friend mentioned that sometimes if the ship is behind schedule getting the other passengers off the ship they have at times let those in front of the regular line go ahead and move to the VIP line in order to speed the process up. This is not something they often do but have at times in order to keep the peace. Good idea about about them waiting for us at the photo place. We shall just play it by ear. Nice tip though.:)

talked with my friend who works at the Long Beach terminal, not for Carnival but all the other ships

Can you tell me what other cruise lines go out of the Carnival building at Long Beach? I thought the other ships went out of San Pedro?

My parents are booked in a Cat11, they are first time cruisers. My questiion is my family and my sister are not booked in Cat 11, is is possible to check in with them, using the VIP line? We want to have the boarding photo taken with all of us in it. Someone else said just get in the VIP line and they most likely won't say anything to you.

Last time we cruised we had a group w/ 2 suites and 2 insides...everybody was instructed to go through VIP...my older sons went to the regular line instead and got on the ship before we did..lol..

its all good...getting stressed out or bent out of shape during embarking is not my idea of how to start a cruise.

I agree, no sense being stressed before you begin your vacation. If there is a way I can stay with my parents while they enjoy the perks of VIP who am I to argue. Not to mention the money that is paid out for those rooms if the VIP line wants to include us regular balcony people, I'm all for it. Glad to hear that you all got to stay together, hopefully we can too. That is funny that your son made it on before you.

I just emailed my friend to ask her, I'll let you know what she says. She actually lives in San Pedro and can see the ships docking from where she lives. I think you are right though, that Carnival is out of Long Beach and all others are out of San Pedro.

I just checked http://www.cruisecal.com from now until one year from now. All the port calls there are Carnival ships with a very small amount of Holland America ships.

My last cruise was my 10th and mine diden't say VIP. I took a print out of my cruise history with me and they let me into VIP. The problem was that my 10th cruise left 4 weeks after my 9th so I got my docs for my tenth before I left for number 9. There was a nice Platinum card waiting for me in VIP.

I hope they let me board with my wife on our cruise next month. She is platinum and I'm 1 shy.

I am listed in the room next door with one of the kids and she is in another room listed with the other kid.

Bill

If you are all using the same credit card for your S&S card you will most likely be able to board at the same time.
