Royal Caribbean tours...anyone done these

Recommended Posts

We are looking at the Corfu Coastal Walk, our cruise is at the end of November and was wondering if anyone has done this tour? What will the weather be like then?

Also interested in the Jewish Community of Dubrovnik, has anyone done this?

Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nancy

We were in Corfu the end of October/ beginning of November 2005. VERY rainy and windy day. I suggest you check the 10 day forecast for your ports on weather.com, and then decide based on that. I would book on the ship if Corfu is a later port, so you can have a good idea of the weather.

We had the same nasty weather in Dubrovnik, too, so keep an eye on the 10-day forecast there, too.

Can I piggyback on this thread and ask if anyone has done the Vesuvius hike combined with the Pompeii tour from Naples. RCI is offering this on the Voyager of the Seas cruise we're taking on May 26.

Sounds like a good tour for those who like exercise and will probably not be as crowded as some of the other tours.

One concern is the line that says there are no facilities at Vesuvius or Pompeii. Does this mean no washrooms?

we rented a car in corfu and were able to see everything we wanted to see-as well as spend time at the beach. it was summertime, however. no clue on November. we rented the car without reservations as soon as we got off the ship. in dubrovnik, we stayed downtown so do not have information on the Jewish area--but it's not a huge island so you should be able to find out information by checking websites on dubrovnik and then figuring it out from there. as soon as you get off the ship in dubrovnik, you are in a mall area, then when you reach the end of it, you go up steps, and at the top where the walls are, there are taxis, buses, stores-it's very very busy. we were there in the summer and the traffic was pretty heavy on the couple of roads there. you will need to investigate if that traffic time would need to be taken into consideration for venturing out of the main area.
