Does anyone know if they now have a dedicated line for platium members? The last time we went out of Lauderdale, it was all one line until you got upstairs.

depends on what time you arrive- If you arrive before the ship is cleared for passengers then its one big line--BUT after checking in the people with suites/platinum members were taken to a different area--since they were allowed on first once we were allowed to board.

Now if you arrive after 12 when the ship is being boarded--- its different.

you will go to a different line. DOnt wait in the line outside but make your way in the door on the right side-- show the guy your tickets and he will direct you

Does anyone know if they have "Let it Ride" in the casino on the Carnival Liberty?

We just love this game and someone had told me that they don't think the Liberty has this table game.

My husband loves it, too. Unfortunately, I am about 99% sure that it was NOT on the Liberty back in June of this year, otherwise, my hubby would have been there the whole time! It's possible things have changed since then....maybe someone else who has sailed more recently could give you an update on whether they saw it or not. But I don't think it was there when we went this summer. Sorry!

Hi,

We will be sailing on the Liberty March 9 with our clothes in a suitcase for two days before we set sail. I know there are irons on the ship, but are there steamers, or can I take it to the laundry department and pay to get the wrinkles out of it?

Thanks,

Brenda

Hello, I was wondering if any could shed some light on the internet fees.

How much per minute, are they a fast dsl? Is it cheaper to rent one

for a day and just do everything that day?

If you purchase a card with minutes and you don't use them all what happens?

Last year on the Pride is the first time we used it,,, I think you can pay by the min or buy 1/2 or 1 hour package. Sorry I really dont remember the price, I dont think it was to expensive but I know its not all that fast. Its faster than dial up for sure but not as fast as the cable I have at home.

Just off the LIBERTY yesterday..

My dh and I 9th cruise all on Carnival

CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! We had a balcony in the middle aft.

We had a group of family and friends.. 15 balconies in a row..

They open the outside dividers for ONE BIG BALONY!!!

FOOD.. 99,9% thought the food was THE BEST

Service: 99.9% thought the Service was WONDERFUL!

Room Service: Little slow but always got what we orderd.

Room Stewart: AMY she was THE BEST we have had.

Casino: Lot of us WON.. Very nice.. Texas Holdem table is ELECTRIC with NO DEALER.. Lot of us played. Slots payed off pretty good. Roulette??? what can I say

EMBARK: Fast.. Once we arrived. Before the doors OPENED.. LONG LINE MOVED FAST.. We were in our ROOMS Before 1pm

DisEMABRK: We self disemarked cos our Air lines changed our flight from FLL to MIAMIA and we Fly our at 10:22am... We had shuttles lined up and was down stairs at 7:00 am.. Was off the ship by 7:45.. On the way to MIAMA air port and checked in by 9:00am.. Everything worked out well for us.

If I can answer any questions??? I WILL TRY

AND we MISSED Grand Caymens because we had to turn around to meet

the COST GUARD.. We traveled all most 5 hours towards KEY WEST..

Finally at 6:00 pm they made the call the GRAND CAYMENS was CXLed and

we would have ANOTHER DAY AT SEA... We all understood but this was a 6 day cruise only in Nassa from 7 to 1 so it was alittle disapoinnted but what can you do. Carnival gave everyone a 25.00 ship board credit..

75cents/minute plus 3.95 activation fee(1 time/cruise)

The speeds can vary from DSL to slow dial up depending on the ships position, speed (Satilite signal) and how many people are on the internet at a given time.

If you buy a rate plan and don't use all the minutes u lose your money.

YES sorry their was a MEDICAL EMERGENCY!!! I heard a 39 year old was having a HEART ATTACK. But we traveled atleast 5 hours towards

Key West. Then was told we would MISS Grand CAYMENS the next day

cos we traveled to far... THEN we had another MEDICAL EMERGENY and had to travel to GRAND CAYMENS to drop off 3 more sick passangers...

So we get to GRAND CAYMENS around 2:00 pm TENDER.. and let the sick off...

So we got to atleast WAVE to GRAND CAYMENS

  We are on this cruise as well, we are looking at doing the Panama Canal - is this the same one. Can you possibly email dcml@shaw.ca me directly so I can pick your brain - mine is pretty slim pickings lately. I will check this web site out in the mean time. I will make note of your room number - ours is 6351, just below you. we also have an inside room across from us for our children (22 and 20 - not kids anymore) Thanks Cindy:cool:

Tbay-eh,

We are sailing Liberty - Western Carribbean , March 15th - rooms 6309, 6311, 6327, 6355 - I'd love to hear from you if the locations of our cabins are ok. Thx...

Also wanted to say hey from a former "tunder bay" resident - well sort of - my parents lived there from 1960 to 1963- I was born in Fort William - Mackellar General? - but we moved to Winnipeg when I was about 2 years old. I am now in my mid 40's - so that was a long time ago:rolleyes: !

I also had a nanny from there - who lived with us in Dallas about 14 years ago, when my son was born. And my husband's boss for many years hailed from Thunder Bay, as well (our nanny was a friend of his family's).

Small world - enjoy your cruise - let us know how it went when you come back!

Bon Voyage!

  Hi - Thunder Bay is still thriving, glad you touched base. I don't even know why I checked out this site again - must be karma. I will certainly let you know what it was like. I am getting so pumped to get out of this weather we are haveing lately. We actually have an inside booked as well for our kids (22&20) they don't see the light of day anyway. Please email me at dcml@shaw.ca with your address and I give you the scoop. I don't think I will remember how to get back here otherwise. Cindy:cool:

Anyone used the checkin on board the Liberty? We arriving on the Carnival Liberty and have an afternoon Continental departure. Want to take advantage of check in on board for our luggage. A couple of posts seem to indicate is about $20. How easy is it? Do you leave at any particular time or at your convenience?

We were on Liberty in Aug'07. What a beautiful ship!!! Have been on Fascination, Elation & Glory. Liberty is by far the very best of all. Very elegant. The cruise director(can't remember his name ) was great. And big surprise was that the assistant director was from our town!! The 'jumbo tron' on Lido is great. As you can see I just cannot say enough about Liberty. Oh yes...& do book into the supper club. The very BEST dinner I have ever had. Service, food & wine...all #1. Have agreat trip...Libbygs

We sailed on Liberty Feb.2-10, 2008. I washed our clothes in the Deck 2 laundry room and didn't see a steam machine. However, I saw a plug in on the ironing center and wondered if it was for a steamer. Hopefully another cruiser will know if there is one onboard or if it's possible to bring one.

Sorry I couldn't help more than this.

Notes on the laundry room:

1. Tide and Cheer are the soaps that are available. $1 each.

2. Washers and dryers are $2 each.

3. Downey fabric softener is available in the machine. A fellow passenger purchased a box and was disappointed to see it was the liquid rather than a dryer sheet. If you prefer sheets, you might bring a few along in case the vending machine is still stocked with liquid.

I have been reading this stuff too- Its 15.00 pp with two bag allowance. (I wonder if it will change to reflect airlines with only a one bag requirement)

This service was not available on the Liberty in August/Sept and it is relatively new. It is only offered using certain airlines and if you have a connection it will have to be on the same airline.

IF the Liberty offers this service it must be requested by Tuesday/ Wednesday in order to participate and can only be done onboard.

I'll be on the Liberty in September. I have seen pics and the disco looks amazing!

I have a Lido deck cabin, so I'll be close to all the action!!!!

I can only hope the Canadian dollar goes up to $1.05 again so the cruise final payment will be less and I'll be able to bring lots of spending money!!!!
