I would be interested, too... I took someone's advice and booked (hopefully) the last night at sea for the supper club, but wondered if that was formal night or not.

I'd have to agree with you-- there is no lock on the bottom of the page-- and who the heck has cheetamail??

Just to let you know that was linked to Carnival's website. I didn't come up with cheetamail on my own, if you are wondering. I copied it exactly from their website.

Thank you.

The last night is not formal night, the second and fifth are.

Also, that is the link to the supperclub. I found the same link on another thread as well.

THANK YOU!

I'm so excited and I booked it. It didn't ask for anything that I was freaked out about, just e-mail, name, and cruise date/sailing. Oh, and what time/date I wanted at the supper club.

Thank you SO MUCH to the OP for putting it here. I'm not so worried about the Spa, but I *did* want the supper club for my 50th b'day! :D

Hi everyone!

We just boked the Liberty yesterday and are very excited to cruise on this ship. We have been on the Conquest twice so the layout of the Liberty should be familiar.

Has anyone talke to Carnival about what exactly is being done while the Liberty is in drydock in October?

Another poster had thought they were going to add balconies to the Spa deck....

We booked a cabin on Spa deck so that wuld be awesome if they added a balcony to our cabin..

Is ther a way we can find out 100% what is being done to the ship in drydock.

The schedule doesn't specify what will be done..

Thanks..

Carla

This very question was asked on another thread, and someone pointed out that Liberty is only in dry dock a week, so they don't have time to chane up balconies and such. The OP said something about cleaning carpets, deep cleaning the ship and such-like, but no structural modifications because it is only 1 week.

I'm dancing too!! Not because we got our docs, but because our room assignment is posted! Verandah 8260. We're right across from the elevators, so I'm sure there will be some noise, but DBF and I are heavy sleepers... so I'm not too worried. :D

Hey there AllyCat! We're booked in 8268 for Sept 20. How noisy were those elevators for you at night?

Here is the website that has all the info about drydock and the schedules for each ship. After you go to the specific ship you want click on fact sheet and scroll down to the drydock info.

cruisedeckplan.com/DP/Carnival/Liberty.php

Sorry I couldn't get the auto link to work so you have to type in the above website.

Good Luck.

Hi, All!

I know this " I want a copy of the Capers" thing has been beaten to death, and I do know where to find them (cruise dailies etc). Also, there is a post a page or two back where someone has offered a book they put together of cruise tips in general including for Italy- and when I checked this out and clicked on some of his pictures (Liberty room 1067) he also had the Capers for August 2-8, 2008 and these are the most recent I have seen if anyone is looking for recent ones. NOW for my dilemma!! I would like to know if anyone has even MORE recent ones than that. What I am trying to figure out is some of the casino stuff and if it varies from sailing to sailing or if it stays consistent. We sail Oct 25 and my hubby wants to do a Texas Hold 'em tournament type thing and I tried for a while now to find out about it and people said there was only electronic games. Now in this capers it says there are live ones!! Anyway, I want to find out if they do the same deals every night in the same order so if anyone has more recent capers, or can direct me to some, that would be great! Thanks!

the capers can vary from week to week- Many varibles for changes- how many people are onboard--how many kids. weather etc.

I know with speaking to a hotel manager onboard the Liberty--he does not like that people posts thier capers== coz it causes him grief when passengers get upset coz they see something listed on an activty sheet from last month.

as the tournement-- there is only one table-- it sits 10 people. There is a board to sign up so when one leaves another can join.

Do yourself a favor and use any posted capers as a guideline. They can and do change.

Thanks, Serene, as someone who worked in Sales or the Service industry my whole life, I wouldn't be one of those people, though! But I can see how that would be a problem. For example the capers I have here, there are at least 4 nights where there are hold em games. So it is possible on some sailings with the same length and itenerary there might be only 1 game? I guess he better play in the first game just to be safe. I just thought maybe if I saw another capers closer to our sailing date it would give me an idea of an average of how many games are played a week. So that is basically what I am looking for in a nutshell. But I can totally see where the Hotel Manager is coming from with that one. If there is something to complain about- people will find it!!!!!!!!!

What is your itinerary? I have all the capers for the Western Caribbean Costa Maya, Caymen Islands, Bahamas and the Exotic Western Carribean Cozumel, Mexico; Colon, Panama; and Limon, Costa Rica from February. I think they have changed the itinerary for Liberty and it is now the same as the Triumph used to be. I have all the capers from that too.

Thanks, but I am just looking for Capers from August 8, 2008 through now. Those are the ones I am having trouble locating.

Does anyone know who the Cruise Director is going to be as of now? As of Sept. 6 Carl with a "K" (current cruise director) is leaving the Liberty if the info on John Heald's blog is still accurate. Anyone got the scoop???

We have a tour booked with Nativeway that we're supposed to meet by 9:15 a.m. onshore.

Any guesses when we will need to go to the lounge to collect a tender ticket to make sure we're on time, and does everyone in the family need to go, or just one person?

Our cruise is over Thanksgiving, so I'm sure the ship will be full as well.

Thanks.
