When do kids go back to school in your area?

Ours started back last week! Then again, they get out early too.

We are already back - and Seminole County Florida has been back for 10 days already. Of course, in mid May we will be finished.

I live on Long Island, My kids go back on sept 7th.

Colorado Springs district 11 goes back on the 19th of August until right before Memorial day.

I live in Tampa and my grandson started school August 5. The county next to us (Pinellas) started August 4th and the county north of us (Pasco) started the 9th. They say it is to have exams out of the way before christmas and they get out in May.

We are in the suburbs north of Houston, my kids in Klein ISD will go back on August 17th

We have a strange situation here.... we start school on Aug. 16, go until Aug. 26, then out of school from Aug. 27 until Sept. 7. We live in a small town in Tennessee and there is a HUGE horse show here for 10 days, they close school, we rent our house out, and LEAVE TOWN! Inspiration, here we come!

The kids here in Panama City, Florida went back on August 5th. We are sailing on the Glory September 11th, and bringing the kids (ages 14, 16) with us. We figured they would learn alot more on a cruise for the week then sitting in a classroom

It seems that with a few exceptions ,ost kids will be back in school. I hope there are enough kids on board for my kids to have fun but not enough to be wild! You can wish big!

Our MN school starts the first of Sept. this year. Usually we don't start until after Labor Day but it's later this year, so to avoid going to school way into June the students will start on the first.

In our part of Nebraska kids go back Aug 23. I work for the district (a therapist) & I have to go back Aug 18. Boo-hoo!

Hello from Northeast Ohio. We live in a suburb of Canton,Oh. and my two kids begin Aug. 25th. Most school districts around here usually begin the last week of Aug.

Huntsville Alabama..our kids started back on July 29.. Every 9 weeks they get two weeks off...We love it! It is easier to plan vacations.

I wish ours went back so late as some of the other posters. Mine went back on Aug 10 after a 8 week break. They just passed a law here too, to make the kids go back later next year.

I'm in NYC and I go back Aug 30th (I'm an adult college student) and my son goes back on Sept. 13th (he is starting high school).
