MJN1 Posted June 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2007 You can always go to Moscow for a couple of days!
impcinder Posted June 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2007 It seems to me that I read on one of CC board postings that if you do not go with an "official" guide, you have to have a Visa. From a travel magazine, suggestion to fly to Moscow.
duct tape Posted June 18, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted June 18, 2007 I thought about flying to Moscow but was advised against it by a Russian tour agent. The train takes overnight and I don't think that sounds like a good idea...so looking for other options and suggestions. Thanx everyone.
LibLively Posted June 20, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2007 We had Exeter International plan an overnight tour to Moscow for us this coming August and it sounds fabulous. We will fly from St. Petersburg, spend the night at the Savoy Hotel in Moscow, and return the next day. Exeter specializes in high-end, once in a lifetime experience tours, and we're getting to do some VERY unusual private tours. If you're interested, go to their website and check it out. We're getting a private tour of the Grand Kremlin Palace with a visit to the Faceted Chamber and Terem, plus a tour of the Armory Museum including a visit to the Diamond Vaults. We're also touring Chinatown, Red Square, G.U.M., St. Basil's, and we're riding the Metro to Novodevichy Convent.
duct tape Posted June 20, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted June 20, 2007 Thank you very much! That was exactly the type of info for which I was looking. Would you please post when you return from your trip? I will be very anxious to hear about it. Have a grand trip!
