alcohol in flight

Does anyone know if its possible or how difficult it is to smuggle alcohol in your luggage if you are flying into Miami to catch the ship?

 

When we left out of our local port it was easy just wondering how hard it is when flying?

Checked bag, no problem - as long as the baggage handlers don't break it (so wrap it well).

 

Carry on luggage - no chance (don't even try).

You would have to check it in your bags. There is no way to get it past security if it is in your carry on bag.

Is the amount you plan to drink so great that it merits the hassle of flying with booze???? The drinks on the ship are so reasonably priced, bringing all that extra weight on the plane makes no sense to me!

I plan on bringing some back from the duty free. I'll already have my bubble wrap handy, and hope the baggage handlers don't break it. 2 liters of Crown Royal for 32.95, I can't pass that up!! :D

duty free booze is packaged for you to carry on board the plane, just don't try to drink it in the plane.

The OP wants to smuggle the booze. If the OP gets the booze from a duty free shop, it will not be smuggling.

We have packed wine in our luggage before. The glass bottle was fine but I always put it a large ziplock bag before packing it just in case.
