pre-cruise stay in Texas City

Hello fellow cruisers! Just wanted to know if anyone has stayed at the Fairfield Inn ( a Marriott hotel brand) or Crystal Suites Hotel in "Texas City" Texas? I really appreciate any reviews or opinions given. We are counting down the days to our cruise!! Thanks!!

I would probably go with the Fairfield Inn. It is located on I-45, the Crystal hotel is located off of Hwy 146. They are about the same in distance to Galveston but if you are already on I-45 then the Fairfield will be the easiest, plus it looks very nice.

Are there any places to stay in League City? Will drive out there from California to visit my dad on the 19 and the only place I could find online is a Super 8.

There are quite a few chain hotels to stay in Webster which is the town before League City that are close to IH-45--Bay Area Boulevard exit. Lots of restaurants nearby them. The best place in League City would be South Shore Harbor Hotel and Convention Center but it is five miles from IH-45 headed East and isn't inexpensive.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Texas City. It was very nice. It's only about a 30 minute drive to the pier in the morning.

We also stayed at the Hampton Inn, Texas City. If you arrange with the hotel they will let you leave the car there while you cruise. I didn't do that but used EZ Cruise.

We stayed at the Fairfield a few weeks ago before our cruise. It was a nice property, room was more than big enough, and they had free breakfast.
