Wine: Corkage Fee or Bring your own Cork Screw

Recommended Posts

I'm going to bring 2 bottles of wine in a backpack, which will be part of my checked luggage. I was wondering, though, has anyone been able to bring on a cork screw opener to remove the cork in the wine? Mine is metal, and I was wondering if that would raise eyebrows with security if I place it in my carry on bag. How has everyone else been able to open their bottled wine? Did you take a cork screw from home or take the bottle down to the bar in the ship to get it removed? We enjoy our wine in our room, therefore would not be asking the wait staff to cork it for us at dinner.

Thanks!
