Sky Suite = No Concierge Class Breakfast??

I reviewed prior threads, and it looks to me like I lost access to the concierge class breakfast when Celebrity upgraded me to a Sky Suite. Is this true?

 

On the other hand, some of the threads seem to indicate that the butler will bring whatever items are requested, including items from the concierge class menu, even so?

 

Does anyone have any guidance on what to expect?

 

(Also, lost pillow menu??)

Not true

You will not find a CC menu in the room BUT you just ask the butler to bring you anything from that menu for breakfast. He may try and say he needs to check with the Housekeeper and you just say "Go ahead"

Likewise you tell him the pillow you want

 

and are you telling us the Upgrade fairy is alive and well...............

We were upgraded to a sky suite last January, and I would SWEAR that we had the same extended breakfast menu that we've had in the past in our CC staterooms.

 

A word of warning on the espresso/capuccino...just order coffee. I couldn't even drink the capuccino our butler brought. Bitter and terrible, like it was made from a syrup (which is how we used to make them when I worked at a high-end restaurant in Carmel, CA). Yick! I don't think the espressos the butlers serve come from the Cova.

I am in a sky suite for an upcoming Mercury Alaska cruise. I planned on running/printing this off so i could write in things I wanted while in the sky suite. We were not upgraded, but found a great price. It was only $200 more than a Concierge Class.

I started another thread about a week ago about the upgrade, long story. ( http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=566644 ) Short version: we were upgraded to Sky Suite from CC because we gave up an aft CC suite that had handicapped access to someone that needed it...

 

Don't know if that qualifies as upgrade fairy or not??

Your butler will be happy to bring anything you request. If you know and like what is on the other menu just tell him. We ordered somethings that were not on the menu and he brought it. If you would like 2 of something just write it on your special order on the door card. I did not want a bagel with my smoked salmon so I made a note of it. Enjoy your upgrade.

You know when we sailed on Mercury in January in a Sky Suite this was not the breakfast menu we had,:mad: this one has many more options. I am sad, would have loved to try quite a few things. I did write in a few but this menu is much better put together.. oh well next time I guess.:rolleyes:

The CC breakfast menu has always been better than the normal Suite breakfast menu. I take a copy of the CC menu with me and write what I want from that menu on the Suite breakfast menu. I've never had a problem getting anything from the CC menu.

CC class cabins do not have a butler. Instead, the cabin steward takes care of the CC extras and is tipped more.

I was on the Millie a couple weeks ago in a Suite and the breakfast menu was different than the CC menu that was posted above. however..whatever we wrote on the breakfast menu, the butler brought it for us. i.e. waffles, bagels w. cc, etc. I did have to ask the stateroom attendant for the pillow menu and he got it for us after checking with his boss. if you ask, you'll likely get it. I still dont understand the whole CC vs a suite. i feel the suites should get the same if not better amenities than a CC.

We just came back from a Century SS and you are correct. The breakfast menu is not the CC menu which I found vey strange. The butler did get me a granola berry parfait. So, just ask....

Just ask the Butler for anything you'd like. Extra fruit, parfaits, Eggs Benedict, etc. They are only too happy to comply with your requests.

We have recently returned from a deck 12 Sky Suite trip on Galaxy (fantastic - already booked a similar suite on Century for next year). We checked at the beginning of the cruise and our butler confirmed - anything not on the menu, just write it on the top of the order form and it will appear! So it was, and on an 11-night cruise we had fantastic breakfast on the balcony for 10 mornings, with even coffee and croissants on the morning of arrival. Enjoy!

We had Celebrity Suite on Millie last Dec 2006, we had the menu cards, the butler brought the breakfast, we just left the card out at night....Do not forget to WRITE IN for smoothies...yum yum
