if only I knew that for my first cruise....would have saved some trouble. LOVE THIS SITE!!!!

I hope I have it right if the line showing the doors is between the two cabins (Carnival Liberty 6348 & 6352)

this means the doors are next to each other

Thanks

I believe you are good....with what was said earlier and what I had on the Triumph the white indented part is the location of the cabin door.....so the divider will swing aft and secure over the window of cabin 6352......

Thanks again to Kurbanfan

Maddie if those are your cabin numbers you are good.:)

Thank you so much for all the information!

Those are our cabin #'s

I'm a little worried about this cruise:eek: Yesterday someone booked all the mini & Large Suites. All 52 of them! That had to cost over $150,000.00. I have heard some horror stories about large groups taking over the ship. Closing down areas for these groups. I wish I knew what group booked them.

Again, Thanks for the info

Do a google search:

4/26/08 Carnival Liberty group cruise or Carnival Liberty group cruise April 26, 2008....

just play around with the date and ship name and see what come up:)

Good Luck!

I found out who booked all these suites.

"The Ocean Players Club" for the "High Rollers" in Gambling! There is going to be some tournaments going on in the casino!! Should be interesting!

I know that they only open a certain amount of balcony dividers and I also know on some boats that it will block a portion of your view (I am guessing 20 to 25% of your balcony rail). So, I am looking for responses from someone that had their balcony opened - did you find the it blocked too much of your view or was the additional space worth it? Someone posted a picture of three balconies opened up and it looked like a lot more space.

We were just on the Triumph. My SIL/BIL were on one side and my 3 daughters were on the other side. The room steward has a key that unlocks the doors. Our window was blocked partially, but it didn't matter. My daughters blocked their whole door, but we just left it unlocked and it would catch and stay closed. We could still go back and forth by either pushing or pulling on it to get around. No problem at all. It was a lot easier than going into the hall and knocking on their door every time.

You can also go the a well known travel website ( they won't let me say the name) that's starts with an E and go in to book a cruise on the ship you will be sailing.

When you get to the part to pick your cabin you can see the little indentations on the diagram for the cabin doors. It will show 2 side by side and the next one will be 2 apart. You will want to pick the ones that show 2 apart. It will be every other cabin. So if you have more then 2 cabins it won't work........We had 3 cabins and could only open one divider between the 3.....Unless you are like Chitown and have them removed....but I don't hear that too often...

This is for Conquest class ships.......

I tried looking on that site's diagrams for the Victory and they don't show door placement on the aft cabins in Verandah Deck :(

Sorry:( We have never stayed in a aft balcony. I know people have posted pictures of the aft balconies from the outside. Maybe if you could do a search one of the pictures will turn up.:o

Thursday!......well now I'm really not sorry......jealous yes....sorry no:D

Hope you have a great cruise!

Thanks... its just a little 4-day with the kids and my dad. I just found out from my PVP that two out of our three rooms connect balconies. She put DH and my cabin as the one not connecting, to give us privacy, she said ;)

Most ships are limited not to a percentage but only to 20 total dividers to be opened up (why the magic number of 20 I have no idea, but I've seen it in writing from the Chief Purser in the past so you definitely want to ask early) so make sure you go immediately to the Purser's desk when you board. Also, make sure one person from every cabin is there and present at the desk when you request them to be opened.

In some occassions, the Captain will not allow for the dividers to be opened for safety purposes. Typically when high winds are expected. Apparently the dividers also serve as a way to baffle the wind and this is a safety issue, so keep in mind it's not always possible to get them opened.

One last tip. If you play big in the casino (big like in being rated and having personal casino hosts) you can typically ask them to put your name and the other cabins names on the list before you board, saving you a trip, if the host is nice and the Pursers office is willing to accomodate.

Just a few tips from someone who loves the bigger balconies.........

Does this mean that the aft balcony dividers are exempt from the 20 limit, since they wouldn't affect the wind baffling?
