"Live from San Juan and pre-day before AOS on Sunday 6/17"

Recommended Posts

Well, hello everyone!!! We finally made it to San Juan yesterday after another delayed flight out of Philadelphia. We were supposed to arrive here by 1pm, but didn't end up getting here till after 5pm. But, that doesn't matter we're here and so excited. We're staying at the Marriott Stellaris Casino and it is just beautiful here. We have a corner room on the 7th floor and the view is just amazing!!! We were so tired from the trip last night that we really just took it easy. We had dinner at the Cafe de Angel...it's a local place and the food was just fantastic. It is within walking distance of the hotel and I highly recommend it. Today, we walked around Old San Juan and did some shopping. It is very hot and humid here, in the high 90's, so by noon we were headed back to the pool. I can't wait for our cruise on Sunday...the taxi driver showed us exactly where our ship would be docked and the area is really BIG!!! Alot of construction is going on so it was an adventure to say the least. Well, that's about it for now. I will try and post live from the Adventure on Sunday so if there' anything anyone would like to know...post it here and I will try and answer for you.

Glad to hear that you finally got to SJ. Hope you have as much fun as we did on Adventure. Could you do me a favour? When we sailed AOS, the made a Snow White martini in the Schooner Bar. Any chance that you could the recipe for me and post it here? Thanks.

We did this cruise 2 weeks ago, also stayed at the Marriott and had a great time, If you go into the Duck and Dog on the Royal Promenade, would you say hi to Shane, the Guitarist/Vocalist, from Simon & Heather in Florida,we had some really good times in the pub on our cruise and miss our evenings singing along with Shane and the Customers

Stefanie-

We just booked the AOS for Feb 2008 and are considering coming down early to see SanJuan. I am also considering taking the tour of the rain forrest on the last day so we can go to the airport straight from the tour. Wondering if you have any input on that and also your comments on the AOS. thanks:)

Hi there, just a quick post....my DH is actually on a tour right now doing the extended hike in the Rain Forest, so I will post when I get back as to how he liked it. I understand it is really beautiful. We decided to start our trip 3 days early too and see some of San Juan....I am so glad we did. Now, we won't feel rushed and are more relaxed. We saw and shopped in Old San Juan yesterday and it was really neat. We all had a good time, even my 10 yr old. There is alot to see and do here, so I highly recommend a few days.

jbond- I will see if I can get the recipe for you if I can. I love the mango-tangos- I will let you know.

Thanks again for all the well wishes, we can't wait till tomorrow. Well going to meet some friends right here from the M&M group who checked in yesterday. so will catch you all later - I will post live from a new thread tomorrow. take care all.

We just booked our AOS for April, 2008. We also leave out of San Juan and are looking for hotels for the night before because we will arrive on Sat. night. I've read that there's lot of night life there. So, that will be nice and then ship doesn't leave until 8 p.m. So, that will give us extra time on Sunday. We've never been to Aruba and are happy to know we'll have 12 hours there. Can't wait to read your review when you come back. Thanks.
