'Nother casino question:free odds on craps?

Hello again,

I was just wondering if they let you bet the free odds behind the line like in Vegas. I know there's nothing on the layout on the Vegas tables that mention anything about it, but it's available if you know how to do it.

Thanks again,

JHC

Craps

Table limits:

Minimum Maximum

Pass Line $5 to $200

Don't Pass Line $5 to $200

Come $5 to $200

Double odds on above bets.

Proposition bets Minimum $1, Maximum $25

That info is from http://www.oceanplayersclub.com/games/craps.asp . I guess if that doesn't answer your question you could always email a casino host and ask!

you'll find a bunch of clueless players and watch your money to ensure they pay you if your playing several bets like me, it's a free for all drink fest good time and no one is there to cheat, but things are fun like the fun ship, not like some suck up coasino workers that have to play to the house rules of no conversations, etc....

you'll enjoy it

I like the crap and BJ games as they are the best odds if you know what I mean...good luck!

I think it's a given to always keep an eye on all your bets, but in 6 Carnival cruises, I've only had one payout missed on the craps table (I did get it corrected). They're pretty good about paying the right people, and correcting people if they're trying to pick up money that's not theirs (seen this happen MANY times).

The players may not be as knowledgable, but most of them are, and 95% of the dealers have been quick and correct - no better or worse than a land casino.

Agree and its like they are on vacation too having fun with the players, I always enjoyed the cruise gambling better than any land casino and I've been around a long salty old time...lol...remember when the bets werre 2 and 3 dollars every day and night....

  • 2 months later...
Does anyone one know how long the tables are. They range from 8-14 feet long.

Thanks

They seem to be what I would call full size, holds 12 players with ease more on a hot table!

I have found some / many of the dealers to be very good, others not so much.

Last month on the Elation there were some craps players onboard. First few nights they had a so so crew on in the evenings, but they got replaced once the Pit-boss etc realized there were player looking to REALLY play. The crew they pulled together was very good and the table got white hot and well.... ya know how it goes, found the zone, the table got the rhythm, the dealers and players had a real clue….. It was a blast. ( I know the serious craps player knows EXACTLY what I am talking about... its so nice so very very nice... got to live it, play the game to understand. :-)

I went so far as to ask later on if they really did wake up and change out the crew as it appeared. I was told yes. That the crew that had been on was green and in training and once they saw they had real players looking to play they knew green was not going to cut it.

The Craps tables on Carnival cruise ships have been veddy veddy good to me!
