All Things Enchantment of the Seas

Recommended Posts

yes the R bar is approximately where the Champagne bar was.. but it is VERY nice and a little bigger than the Champagne bar was. also a LOT more stuff happens in the Centrum now so it's a hub of activity.

Park Cafe is in the Solarium, opposite where the Spa is. food options are better than before , in my opinion. also the only place to get late night snacks now( nachos, pizza, etc)

Sounds perfect, thanks!

I booked Enchantment 17 months ago and will be getting married onboard in April. Originally we planned to get married in the library as its small and quiet, followed by drinks in the champagne bar and a meal at Chops in the evening.

Whilst Im all for updating the ship I am gutted that the library has been replaced with 2 cabins and now theres just a few shelves for books, and now I've just read that there is no champagne bar anymore!!!

Can anyone who has sailed Enchantment before, and who knows about the dry dock changes recommend somwhere to hold our small wedding ceremony and somewhere to have a few celebratory drinks afterwards?

Thank you xxx

we just got off her today.. and there was a wedding on board on the second sea day.

try requesting using either the Diamond or Concierge Lounge. as long as you are not wanting to do so during the cocktail hour(5-830) I bet they will be willing to work with you. for the most part the CL at least was empty after the breakfast hours until just before 5. well, except for me...I did a lot of reading up there....and at least ONE private function was held there( and they never cleaned up after themselves but that's a rant for my review later)

the new R Bar is very nice( replaced the Champagne bar) but the Centrum is now a major hub of activity on board so most likely wouldn't be too intimate for either the ceremony or reception. there is also still the conference rooms just off the Schooner bar. On the plus side you now have a truly magnificent place to get those pictures taken in your gown in the Centrum!

The Crown lounge can be reserved for private events and would be a lovely place for a wedding and reception followed by Chops. The DLounge is okay but no windows and therefore a rather plain room. Not sure if they would allow you to use the Concierge lounge??? The RBar is in the Hub of the ship and while it is a lovely venue, it would not be private. Most likely for a wedding they might reserve a portion of the seating if you wanted to have a small reception there.

The renovations to the Enchantment are lovely and I am sure that your wedding will be memorable where ever it is held!

Best Wishes!!!

Next week will be our third (and probably last :( ) trip on the Enchantment...and my sister's first.

She is a very early riser and was asking me if there is anywhere to get coffee on the ship at 4-5 AM??? I have no idea. Does anyone know if there are any 24 hour locations or would it just be room service at that hour? Thanks!

unless they are being cleaned/serviced, prolly the Windjammer. there are also ones over by Park Cafe. I make NO Promises as to quality of the product though....especially at that hour.

if you have a JS or up, there will be a coffee maker in the room. Seattle's Best.

there will be a surcharge for Room service at that hour.

Cafe Lattitudes was open at I am pretty sure 0600. but again, you will pay for coffee there.

Windjammer typically has the large self serve coffee urns available at any hour. Usually only on one side. I am not picky about my coffee and find WJ coffee to be "good enough". If you need the really good tasting coffee, you will have to wait and pay for it.

I like walking around the ship early before it gets crowded. Hopefully she can watch a sun rise or two. Perhaps even catch the famous "Green Flash" as the sun hits the horizon. :)

Thank you so much for the feedback. Ive had a look at the photos of those rooms/lounges. I've emailed the wedding department for a list of places where we can now get married and will go from there.

The new R Bar looks amazing and although at first I didnt like the thought of it being open, after seeing the pics it I love it! The only part of the day we want to be private is the ceremony, so sharing the R Bar with others is no problem! Im sure we can discuss the possiblity of reserving a small area (for 12 people) when we get onboard!

I have also heard that there is self serve coffee in the casino at the bar in the early morning hours.

Has anyone stayed in cabins 8534. 8540 or 8544? It looks like they are below the beginning of the Windjammer and I was wondering if you could hear the carts rolling, etc. from any of those cabins.

I was in 8540 in 2005 and noise woke me up in the early morning hours. My kids slept right through it and thought that I was crazy.

That means nothing. Kids think their parents are crazy - whether or not the parent claims to hear things going bump in the night. :)

Does anyone have the updated menus for Enchantment 4 day out of PC? We are trying to determine which day to book Chops while figuring out menus and also port days/times. Thank you!!
