All Things Enchantment of the Seas

We are going 8/13 and were trying to get a copy of the cruise compass for the Cozumel day. (We are trying to pick a night for Chops, but didn't want to miss the commedian or Quest.) Were your stops Key West, Cozumel and Cococay? If you have the Compass or the evening times for the shows,I'd love it. You can e-mail it to Noelle0120@cox.net Many thanks!!!

I'd love to see the Compasses for the 5-night Western Caribbean (Cozumel, Coco Cay, Key West) cruise as well. If anyone has them, can they please post or provide a link? Thanks!

You might try this website:

or if that isn't it, try this one:

You'll need to go to "Enchantment" and then I think the 8/19 is a 5-day.

Hope This Helps.

Leslie, There is a thread on the RC Roll call for this 8/13 cruise. 44 people already! Take a look!

Noelle

Thanks Noelle,

I've checked it out before a while back but it was mostly families traveling with children and since this is an "off parenting duty" vacation for us didn't feel like it was the right RC/Meet N Mingle for us. I will go

o take a look again and see if more have joined. Thanks again.

Ok Noelle,

I post on the RC board! :) I'm starting to get excited about this cruise again. I booked back in March and had been on Cruise Critic so much and doing other research on it that I kinda burned myself out! :o But now it's getting really, really close and I'm BACK! I will limit myself to once a day this time though so I don't OD! :D :D

We are booked on the Enchantment for the 09/15/07 cruise. Our anniversary is the 19th. We are leaving the six kids home. We are excited.

This is a great thread with some good information for us first timers. Our room is JS 8584. We will be enjoying the departure from our suite sipping champagne and looking forward to our reservation at Chops we made when we boarded.

Looking forward to enjoying a few beers on the deck with some of you and reporting back about our adventure when we return to the others as you have done.

I have a question for all you Diamond C&A members who cruised the 5 or 4 day on Enchantment.

Did you get the C&A COUPON BOOKS that have the free drinks, casino 12 for 10 and match-play, free pictures, etc.??????

I don't know if they give those out on the shorter cruises.

Thanks for replies.

My DH and I just returned from the 7/21 EOS 5 nightcruise, and it was absolutely fabulous! We also celebrated our 20th anniversary.

Major high point-make a reservation at Chops. It was unbelieveable.

Vicariously Cruising-we got the C&A books and they had all those coupons

in them. The free pix was one of the ship that you got with the purchase

of pictures of yourself. There was also a discount coupon for the Spa and

Seattle's Best coffee. Pretty good stuff. We used most of them.

Please tell me the Enchantment has the soft serve ice cream by the pool......

??????

No worries about the soft serve. Yes, the machine is on the pool deck right outside the doors into the Windjammer! Hubby and I would get the soft serve and then go in the windjammer and put some of that delicious strawberry sauce on it. Absolutely wonderful...:D

The ice cream machine was out of order a few times that I went to use it. Needless to say I only had one cone the whole trip :(

Laurie, I was on the Enchantment right after it was stretched and will return in September 2008. The ship is wonderful. It is easy to get around. I love the specialty restaurant Chops. It's a must do. Chops does have a $20.00 per person cover charge. It's definitely worth it. Make sure you ask for a table by the window. Besides Chops, there is Portofinos where you will never go wrong with any of their entres. The Windjammer Cafe has been refurbished/redesigned and is great. No more lines.

My favorite place to hide is the solarium where it's quiet and little-kid-free. I love being thee to read, nap, read, take another nap, and oh yes, swim.

Enjoy.

Mike

You caught that too huh? I also found lines in the Windjammer every morning for breakfast too. I actually liked the set up of the Windjammer on the Empress better!

What are the dress designations for dinner on the 5-night? I know there's one formal night, but what are the others?

And could kids (ages 3 and 6) wear nice khaki shorts and a polo or button-down shirt to the dining room on the first night? I'm not planning on taking them to the dining room any of the other nights and would hate to have to pack slacks for them to wear once. But I will if I have too. I don't want to be one of *those* people. LOL!

Shhhhhh, we didn't really dress completely appropriately for dinner on the first night. We blamed it on not getting our bags in time......

I don't think you'll have any problems at all. I saw grown people with t-shirts on that first night.

Have a wonderful trip!

We were on Enchantment, in January,'06. We had a D1 balcony in the new section. We thought the ship was beautiful, and the staff and crew very friendly. This was our first RCCL cruise, and it made us confirmed fans. Five days was not long enough. There is more to do than you can possibly fit in. We loved the Solarium, especially. I hope this thread takes off likt the Explorer one, and you will get a ton of info, and pictures as well.

Judy :)

Hi Judy

How did you like your D1 balcony cabin??

My Mom and I are booked for the Enchantment in May 2008, and we got a really good deal on our 1st balcony cabin...

Thanks

I haven't even sailed her, yet, and I am sorry to learn she won't be going out of Lauderdale any more. This is one of the most laudatory threads I have ever read on any ship, and it made me so happy that I had booked this cruise for our sisters' trip. Neither of them has ever cruised before. I was thinking that this could be the choice for our next large (hubby's side) family cruise -- we did the 5 day Century in March. A nice ship on a short jaunt makes great sense for first timers -- most of DH's family were first timers. I hope whatever replaces Enchantment will be as nice as you all say she is -- as nice as Century.

I, too, have no desire to fly to Panama, but a Panama cruise is high on the list for the future -- Galapagos, Australia, Panama.

I have read most of this thread, and I have a question for those experienced Enchantment cruisers. Many posts regarded the new section of the ship. I actually have one of these cabins booked, but if something opens up (11/01 looks to be fairly solidly booked already) on a higher floor, I might go for it providing ..... when she was stretched, did they refurbish all the cabins, or is only the new section outfitted with all new furniture, bedding, etc.? Thanks in advance.

The whole ship has new bedding.....I think the only difference between the old and new cabins is the shower............the new ones have the curved glass doors........the one have shower curtains..........

I have been to Colon(as a port stop) and I have no desire to go there either,..

If anyone going on the Enchantment of the Seas would be willing to purchase a ship model from the onboard shop for me, I would GREATLY APPRECIATE it. Please let me know so that we can make arrangements for me to pay you as well as for shipping it to me. I went on the Enchantment after the stretch & they did not have a ship model available. It is the only one that I am missing from my cruise collection. I can't tell you how much this would mean to me if someone could help me out with this.

Thank you.

Thanks for the info -- new beds and furniture, I presume? Sometimes a shower curtain is better, depending on the size of the shower -- you can poke your elbows out.
