Disneycruisers Posted June 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2007 We're staying in San Juan two days before our AOS sailing. (Courtyard Marriott.) I've read on Frommer's website that it is a 'dressier' city? I'm just curious what kind of clothes to pack for our short stay, since we might go to some of the casinos? Thanks! Jan_In_Maine Posted June 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2007 We were in San Juan last November and sitting at an outside cafe, I saw so many lovely women that were dressed beautifully. (Really cool shoes too!). Much more elegant than I'm used to seeing on a normal day to day basis ...Jan
happysinglemom Posted June 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2007 I've been to San Juan a couple of times now...and honestly don't recall it being a "dressier city". But since I prefer a dressier environment anyway, and as I really enjoyed my time there, maybe that was part of the reason!! :)
eandj Posted June 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2007 Depending when you are going.....you will see pretty sundresses and very nice dressy casuals during the day from the locals. Think "big city" when you go out at night.
RCCLismyfav Posted June 23, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2007 We were there this past winter and I did not notice women more dressed up than any other place. Again it all depends where you are going though. It is very muggy and hot so I would suggest dressing light and airy. I like my sun dresses and they can be dressed up or down so they work really well. Skorts work well also.
