Just got home from Liberty

Recommended Posts

I will write a detailed review tomorrow. But we had SO much fun!! After reading posts on this site, which really were very helpful, I was concerned about Noro, crowds, all sorts of things--- all of the concerns were gone as soon as I stepped on that ship. SO much fun, for all of you getting on you will have great times!! Let me know if you have any questions and I will make sure to reply to them.

Can't wait to hear your review. Glad you had a great time. She looks like such a beautiful ship.

The whole virus thing is so crazy. I know it can happen anywhere but I have never had it(wash hands alot, lots a sanitizer) or my family and we travel alot.

Hello, We are a family of 14 boarding the LibertyOS this saturday. We have questions of course and truely appreciate it if you can answer for us!!

1- Last year I did the check in online and nobody asked me for that paper, is it worth doing does it really get you on the ship faster?

2- What time did the ship get quiet at night?

3- What day did you have to get the ice show tickets, where do you meet and what time?

4- How were the adult comedian shows?

5- Did you find the casino to be small and crowded?

6- Did the staterooms have liquid soap, not sure if your female but was it hard on your skin or I not need to bring body wash? Sorry if your a guy but you understand I am sure.

7- Were there plenty of hangers in the closets in rooms?

8- Do you know how much massages are in the spa?

9- Did the main shows fill up very fast where you have to get a seat early?

So glad you had a great time and thank you. :D

You’re were on the western Caribbean tour right? What nights were the formal nights? What were the nightly themes for dinner? When were the Ice shows? What was the entertainment like? Who was the cruise director? Where you able to go to every port?

Thanks for the info...looking forward to your review.

Yes, we were on the Western route. Formal nights were Sunday (first Sea Day) and Wednesday (Cayman).

The Ice Show was very good, tickets are given out on the first Sea Day, Sunday- from 9:30-11:00. We got there at 10:45 and were still able to get tickets to the night we wanted...maybe just lucky. There are 4 shows, 2 Tuesday, 1 on Wed. and 1 on Friday.

The cruise director is James Andrews, funny but maybe a little too much energy!

Yes, Bring your own soap (they have bar soap) and shampoo/conditioner!!

Yes, print out your reservation, it does make it go faster I am sure. They did ask for it!

I will post a review, which may answer some of the other questions mentioned. Happy vacation! Enjoy!

1. They will ask you for the paper that you should have printed from the online check in form and it will help you board faster. My wife completed the online check-in for us but did not print the form. It cost us an extra minutes.

2. Depends on where you are. There is plenty of nightlife and some people do not call it a night until 2 or 3 in the morning.

3. Sunday - 9:30 AM at the rink. Check your Compass to be sure.

4. Did not see - heard they were good.

5. Yes, did not have a good flow to it. For more details see my review.

6. They had bar soap and a shampoo dispenser in the shower. I was not impressed by any of the products, my advice would be to bring your own.

7. Yes.

8. A small fortune, get one anyway, my wife loved hers.

9. You should be able to get a seat even if you walk in 5 minutes before it starts. Obviously the best seats go early but I didn't see anyone not get a seat. The ice show tickets are gone in a flash so be there 10 minutes before they start distributing so that you can get tickets for the show you want.

Thanks so much for the positive reviews!

We'll be on 7-21 and have some questions-

-What are the show times (and length) of 1st and second dinning?

I want to make reservations at Portofino and wondered which day would be best and time so I don't miss the shows.

-Can you still get ice tea/water/lemonade at the Windjammer?

-How was the food in the dinning room?

Please let us know any tips or changes that you noticed on this ship

All the best and welcome back!

-Randi

The show times vary, depending on the show. Some were pre-dinner shows others post-dinner. The shows usually were about an hour long.

Dining room dinner was always about 1-1.5 hours as well although you can make it as short or long as you want. The food is good in the dining room, not great but good to very good depending on what you ordered. Portofinos is great- the sea food skewer, rissotto and almost everything was just great. Dinner here takes about 2 hours, but you can let them know and they will hurry it up if you wish.We ate there twice we liked it so much.

We scheduled Portofinos and Chops at dinning room seating times, either 6 (first seating) or 8:30 (second seating) and never missed a show.

Thanks ss2007-

I'm so glad that you had a great time! Did you go for early or late dining?

I'm so upset with all the past bad reviews-sure glad that you had some positive comments-afterall, this is our vacation and and breaks the bank for a while. (We are all in the same "boat")

I am not sure if they change the formal nights, but ours was on Sunday and Wednesday, same as the cruise the week before us- I asked on this site in order to be able to plan for our own cruise.

We had the late seating.

We did not go to the meet & mingle. We did sign up, but we were up late so we chose to sleep in.. :-).

Alot of people complain about all sorts of things, but really you make your own experience, we had alot of fun and chose not to focus on the little issues that came up... have fun!
