Galveston Port Logistics

Hi Everyone-

I recently booked Voyager of the Seas on 3/23/2008 out of Galveston. We've never sailed from this port so I'm looking for some assistance - we plan on flying in to Houston one to two days prior to sailing and then possibly staying at the Hilton in Galveston.

My first question - is there a car rental agency that has offices at the airport in Houston and nearby the port that will shuttle us over the day we sail?

What's the best way to get to the airport after we leave the ship? Previously at other ports RCCL has had one way transfers, not sure if they have this option here. Is there a good shuttle service someone can recommend?

thanks!

Hi:

I believe Enterprise has a drop off at the pier. If you have a choice, try to come into Hobby Airport rather than Bush. Hobby is nearer to Galveston and much easier to navigate. I think it was voted one of the best small airports in the US. Easy to get to IH45 which will take you into Galveston.

I'm sure you can get a one-way return from RCI but it may only go to Bush. However, if you land at Hobby, there are shuttle/limo services you can look into and book probably at that time.
