Amy from Delaware Posted July 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2007 Is it okay to eat and drink in the pool area? Are snacks okay? What about a sandwich at lunchtime? Coffee? Or are you expected to only have cold drinks there? Are there little tables between the lounge chairs? Thanks, Three Rings
Rich And Sylvia Posted July 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2007 Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. No. Sometimes. We have brought entire trays of snacks out onto the pool deck to enjoy while we're relaxing. Order a couple Boat Drinks and you're home free! It's always been ok. You won't always find a small table next to your lounge chair but many times there are folks who aren't using them and if you just ask - they usually let you take them. Hope this helps - bye for now! cb at sea Posted July 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2007 The chairs are so closely pressed together (in the immediate pool area) that it's sometimes hard just to sit down! Don't expect tables around the pool. Yes, you can bring whatever you like out to the pool to eat, but if the ship is underway, it will be extremely windy. (which is good--it keeps you cool!) They do have roving waiter's for drink orders or you can go to one of the pool bars and get your own. If you don't absolutely need to be within 8 feet of the pool itself, you will find plenty of chairs on some of the upper sun decks.
Sue L Posted July 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2007 On sea days we get to the pool area early to get good chairs,(not the ones by the pool) and then we take turns going to the buffet getting our breakfast and bringing it out by the pool. It is pretty easy to sit in the lounge chair and balance the plate on a book on our laps. What better place to enjoy breakfast.
BearySweet2Cruise Posted July 4, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 4, 2007 What better place to enjoy breakfast. For us, the best place to enjoy breakfast is on our balcony. Much more quiet with no crowds or noise from the pool :)
Yuridog Posted July 4, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Don't forget to enjoy the ice cream or frozen yogurt machine, while sitting by the pool area:)
