will work to cruise Posted July 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Would someone please explain how they assign the colors/times for people to leave the ship. We do not have a flight out the day of our return so we would like to be one of the last ones off. How do we arrange this? What is the latest you can get off the ship? We will be on the Mariner. Thanks, Mike
Sue L Posted July 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2007 They are assigned first by those with early flights, of course after the priority disembarkations because of diamond status, etc. Then it is by location on the ship. How they actually decide which floors, locations, etc are getting off I have no idea. But if they call your color and you are not ready you do not have to run, but your luggage will be sitting with your color unitl you go and retrieve it. cb at sea Posted July 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2007 They want everyone off the ship by 10am at the very latest, so they can start boarding the next group! (You don't want to hold them up, do you?) Whatever color tag you get, you don't have to leave too early. Your bags will be sitting there, waiting for you! The color of the tags varies from cruise to cruise, so don't worry about that!
cb at sea Posted July 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Oh--and you won't be able to stay in your room past 8am--the stewards need to start readying the cabin for the next batch. You will have to find space to hang out in the public areas of the ship.

TEXASMUNK Posted July 4, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 4, 2007 Should not be a problem. Here is how it works: All those with late departures clog the stairways, jam the elevators and slow up the process. They then complain, loudly, about what a lousy disembarkation process RCI has. Upon return home, they write nasty letters claiming everyone...including the Captain..were angry with the way disembarkation was handled. When they calm down, they jump on Cruise Critic looking for others that had a horrible vacation. For the rest of the folks: #1 The shleppers..those that can't wait to throw out their backs lugging their own luggage off the ship #2 Early flights/C & A diamonds and diamonds+ #3 Suites, starting with Starboard side, then Port side #4 then by decks
