NYC car rental drop off?

We're taking a repositioning cruise in October from NYC to Miami and are trying to plan the best way to get to NYC from southeastern Mass. (Flying back from Miami is not an issue.) Our best bet may be renting a car one way to NYC. Where is the nearest car rental company to the nyc pier?

Which NYC Pier? If Manhattan, Avis is at 43rd Street between 10th & 11th Avenues.

If you're cruising out of Manhattan, Dollar is on W 52nd St between 7th and 8th.

We are cruising out of Manhattan. We'll be driving in on a Sunday morning, so some car rental places may not be open. Thanks for the info!
