(Stratford-AP) _ There's a big problem with traffic on Interstate-95 southbound in the Stratford/Milford area.

The center and left Southbound lanes of I-95 over the Moses Wheeler Bridge have been closed since a hole was found about 4:30 this morning.

The state Department of Transportation says the hole in the center lane resulted from vibrations during overnight reconstructive deck work on the Northbound side.

All Northbound lanes are open.

Emergency repairs to the entire bridge began last night and will continue through November.

The Moses Wheeler Bridge, which opened in 1958, carries I-95 over the Housatonic River between Stratford and Milford.
