lovesong2213 Posted July 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2007 What is acceptable to wear on the cruise? are shorts (bermuda or short shorts), tank tops, sun dresses, tee shirts, sneakers, flip flops allowed? i have heard different things any info would be really helpful:)
smeyer418 Posted July 25, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2007 you can wear this to the buffet. If you want to eat dinner at a sit down and service restaurant, you need to wear resort casual for dinner....no flip flops no shorts no t shirts....that is the rules. I have been sent back to my room for long pants on occasion. Not sure about sun dresses....but even though these are the rules sometimes they are not enforced. Although they generally are enforced at the reservation/pay restaurants.
KeystoneCruiser Posted July 25, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2007 Sneakers, sun dresses, polo shirts, kahki pants are all part of resort casual and are acceptable at all times in all dining venues, including the "dress as you like night." (formerly known as "optional formal" night.)
jkrislc Posted July 25, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2007 Not sure about sun dresses NCL's brochure states that sun dresses are considered appropriate dinner attire for all restaurants.

KeystoneCruiser Posted July 26, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 26, 2007 thanks for the info i was starting to packjust wondering when is the formal night (which night)? The former "optional formal night" is now called the "dress as you like night." All formal nights on all NCL ships are optional in all dining venues and only about 40% of the passengers will dress up and that will range from tuxes down to shirt and tie. The other 60% will be in resort casual. Of course, with Freestyle Dining, you can dress up any night you want or no nights and still enjoy all the dining rooms. The joy of Freestyle, to dress as you want, when you want!
