mediator Posted July 29, 2007 #26 Share Posted July 29, 2007 Mysticks: Yes, maybe it was a grill (which Mariner also did not have late at night). They do have pizza at the cafe. mediator: No need to be hostile... I was just asking. You are right... didn't mean to be "hostile". I think that I have just become used to no buffets late at night. In the "old" days there were and tons of people attended. I guess I think the Promenade on Mariner is a real perk when compared to the "tidbits" they pass around. You can always get food, but nothing like the buffets. So, sorry I over reacted!
FPP777 Posted July 29, 2007 #27 Share Posted July 29, 2007 How many folks actually eat all night long???? I mean, once in a while, maybe, but.... Do people really do that? It just depends on how much of the booze I smuggled on I drank that night. The more I drink, the more I eat.:D
Royalpair Posted July 29, 2007 #28 Share Posted July 29, 2007 On our HAL cruise, everynight at either 11pm or midnight (I can't remember which), they would have an international themed buffet - mexican, dutch, etc. It lasted for one and a half hours, and had everything. We usually saw the casino workers taking a break there, and some officers. I was surprised at how complete the menu was. And, ooohh, the desserts! I think you may be right, I may have a picture in my mind from the "good old days."

Didn't Taco Bell already call it - the Fourth Meal!

Rare Paula_MacFan Posted July 29, 2007 #33 Share Posted July 29, 2007 Give me a break! Cruising does offer round-the-clock eating. You want a buffet open 24 hrs -- try Vegas. Or Princess. They have 24 hour buffets -- at least the ones I have been on. Lots of choices for the late night crowd.
