Whittier to Anchorage - Flights home

We will be traveling on a Princess Cruisetour in June 08. Our son will only be joining us for the cruise, then heads directly to Anchorage for a flight home. What is the earliest time we could book a flight out of Anchorage after disembarking?

Does your son have to go home immediately after the cruise? The area between Whittier and Anchorage is so pretty, as is the drive to Seward on the Kenai Peninsula, that it's worth staying an extra night or two in the area.

 

But to answer your question - he can probably get to the airport by mid-morning for a noon flight.

Well while you can get up there in time for a noon flight. There not too many

flights leave that leave during midday. As I recall most flights leave in evening

hours. Our last trips we left at 11:30PM or so. For some reason they did not

have a choice of flights in early or mid day.

The cruiseline will have a recommended time guideline, but you can make a noon flight with the cruiseline bus transfer.
