Have to book our transportation from Laguardia to the port. Would appreciate any advice. Can this be done online, in advance of our trip? What is the address of the port?

a yellow cab will cost about 35.00 for two up to 4. A car service will be about the same. There will be a cab line with a dispatcher---you can't make reservations for a yellow cab. there are hundreds of car services/limos that take reservations. Carmel has a website with coupons. http://www.carmel.com I believe. You should have directions to the cruise terminal just in case the cabbie doesn't know. The address the corner of Imlay Street and Bowne street Brooklyn NY 11231. The directions from LGA are easy the Brooklyn Queens expressway to Brooklyn take the Atlantic Avenue exit make a left. Make the first right and follow it and the signs around. without traffic it will take 20 minutes with traffic no more than an hour....

Cadman 866-308-5466

They won't take reservations but will arrive 10-15 minutes after you call once done in baggage claim. :)

How do you get from the pier to LGA when the cruise ends? Have read several posts lately that indicate that that seems to be a problem. Can you reserve a car service for the return ride back to the airport? How does the car service find you with all of the people who are waiting on rides too?

This a good question. Will cabs be available?

We were worried about this and were considering Princess transportation as we have an early flight. Would appreciate suggestions form those who have disembarked from Brooklyn before.

Thanks

Cabs are available but the lines can sometimes be 2 hours long.

Do the same upon your return, pick up your bags walk outside and call the car service, I walk down toward the entrance to the pier and meet the car as the traffic can get really backed up coming in. The further you walk out the less crowded it is. I am not saying walk out of the fenced ares, we just walked to where the covered driveway ends and waited there it worked well. :)

Last October we had 4 adults with luggage and had to use a car service to get from LGA to our precruise hotel. We stayed at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge which is also used by Princess. We had reserved a van with Carmel and when we got our luggage we called and the driver was there in minutes with our name on a card. At the hotel we asked a Bellman to get us a van to the port and we liked the van/driver he got for us so much that we arranged for him to meet us on the return and he was there waiting. We just had to give him a call and he was there in two minutes to take us back to LGA. They have to wait in a parking area just around the corner from the pier. He was with Cypresslimo.com (Manuel).
