We have time to take the ferry to Victoria for one day - anyone done the HO-HO there. Is it worth it? Or is there enuff to see walking around main area of Victoria

If you can, I would consider seeing Butchardt Gardens. We took a tour in Vancouver that included a bus ride over to the Ferry and then the ride on the Ferry and then when we reached Victoria we drove around and then spent a couple of hours at the Gardens and then of course returned back. This was several years ago with Gray Lines. We enjoyed it and have since been back on a cruise that stopped at Victoria.

If it's a nice day, you will enjoy walking around the harbour and might not need anything else to do. Victoria, by the way, gets much less rain than Vancouver. Butchart Gardens is gorgeous and the provincial museum is very good if you like museums.

Don't think there is enuf time to go to Buchart - wish we could.

In June we were in Vancouver and took a all day tour with LandSea tours. We left at 8 am and took a bus (which held about 24 people) to Victoria. It was raining in Vancouver and the tour guide said it would be sunny in Victoria and it was! They get much less rain that Vancouver. The tour included a choice of 1 of 4 different things and entrance to Buchardt Gardens. We elected to go to the BC Museum because the Titanic exhinit was on loan to the museum. It was great. Then we had a little free time before we had to board the bus to go to Buchardt Gardens. We spent a couple of hours at the gardens then boarded the bus back to the ferry and back to Vancouver. It was a long day but well worth it.
