texasmary Posted August 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2007 My walking ability is limited. Would the Butchart Gardens excursion be out of the question? Is it constant walking to see everything? What else could I do in Victoria that would be enjoyable without a lot of walking? Thanks for any replies.
allentownahoy Posted August 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2007 I am almost positive that Butchard Gardens has wheelchairs available for use. Do a google search to find their website and inquire. There is alot of ground to cover so if your walking is limited this is what I would suggest. I did the gardens by wheelchair several years ago when we spent 2 weeks in BC but I do remember the gardens having wheelchairs available.

OldCodger73 Posted August 11, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2007 A horse drawn carriage ride through downtown and the harbor area might work for you.
texasmary Posted August 11, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted August 11, 2007 Yes, I did find that wheelchairs are available at the gardens. I was hoping they had a little tram or motorized carts or something like that. I remember walking Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania many years ago and it was exhausting. But I remember riding a little tram thing at a plantation in Maui and it was great. Thanks for the suggestions.
