J@L Cruise Posted August 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2007 Going on first cruise on AOS Aruba route 12/2/07 and was wondering from past experiences what the weather will be like in December. Are the seas calmer on the southern routes. Thanks

cb at sea Posted August 14, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2007 Aruba is not far from the equator! It's going to be hot! Plan on a summer wardrobe for those ports. Once you get off the coast of Florida, the weather is hot/pleasant all year round!
gnparend Posted August 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2007 In Aruba the weather is always HOT. The trade winds limits the rain there. The island is so narrow and attempt for a shower the cloud is blown away in minutes. Hense the trees grown sideways and it's a desert island. AOS leaves out of SJ so the weather should be 80's and the Carib Seas is normally calm. Plus the AOS has large stablizes and it's 138,000 tons so you may not even know your on a ship until you look outside. If memory is correct you'll stop is Curacao not a desert island but same weather.

It is not a beastly hot as during the summer, but still hot enough for you to know that you are in the Caribbean. If you check the RCCL web site for your cruise, or go to www weather dot com, by island, it will give you the highs and lows, as well as the rainfall for every month.
