ParrotTops Posted August 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2007 We want to do the 11 day round trip Papeete and are trying to decide on which of the dates available: June, July or late August or mid November. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much
karen2cruz Posted August 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2007 I did alot of research to figure this out for us. The "best" time to go is May through October, which is their winter or their "dry" season. So, June, July or August would be better. November would fall in their "rainy" season. But , heck, is there a "bad" time to cruise Tahiti? :)

Jim B Posted August 15, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2007 We went in February 2003. It was Sunny, hot, and humid. But that is what we expected! Had a couple of rain showers move through real quickly but no long ones. It was great. Now the week before us and the week after us found out that it rained a lot. This is the tropics and it does not change much from one time of the year to the next. Go when ever you can!! P.S. I have a "packing List" that I made up which I would gladly send to you or anyone who would be interested for a cruise to Tahiti. Just email me at bastian20@hotmail.com and put "Packing List" on the title so I know what it is about.
marylizbeth Posted August 17, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2007 Jim I had to giggle when I saw you had a packing list for Tahiti. I bet it goes like this: Packing list: 1. Bathing suit 2. Self :)
Jim B Posted August 17, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2007 Yep. Kind of does. LOL Actually it is a composite of things people have suggested on forums that might be helpful to some.
