Aplmac Posted August 26, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2007 Does anyone know if there is jet skiing? - We love to jet ski!! There's lots of jet-skiing to be had in Barbados. Waverunners abound! Any and all popular beaches are constantly monitored by the jet-ski guys who patrol up and down the coast lookin' for business. Believe me... they will find you, but just in case they don't, raise your arms and give a big wave as they pass, and they'll come right to you. How much? I'm not certain, sorry. Aplmac Posted September 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2007 around 60bds for 1/2 hour..... okay..if that's accurate, the equivalent value in 'Real Money' (U.S.Dollars) would be US$30 for the half hour. Exchange rate on Barbados is dead-easy...simply 2:1 20 bucks your money(U.S.$) becomes 40 bucks our money(Bds.Dollar)

Will have to cruise again to enjoy all the beaches in Barbados.! Dude...sounds like you need a week here, huh? St.Alban's Bay is truly REID'S BAY, but St.Alban's Church sits at its Southern end - it's about two-thirds of the way up our West Coast (heading North from the Port)
East Coaster Posted October 18, 2007 #10 Share Posted October 18, 2007 aplmac, it does sound like we need a full week to enjoy Barbados. Maybe next year.... Just had a quick question to ask you. I know you posted about Accra having a resort near the beach with a swim up bar. Is it still there? We may want to have a beer or drink. Thanks again, Ms. Dude (haha)

Just had a quick question to ask you. I know you posted about Accra having a resort near the beach with a swim up bar. Is it still there? We may want to have a beer or drink. Thanks again, Ms. Dude (haha) Hi, Ms.Dude, (oops! sorry!) Yes, Accra Beach Hotel is still very much there - not sure if they offer a day-rate thing for cruisers, but you can try! Just go to the public beach nearby(same beach) and walk in their beach entrance like any other tourist, and see what gives. Things are laid back, 'man'!:D ------------------ It's not the bldg. you see hidden in the trees, at right in this picture(below) it's just before you get to that bldg. right next to it, set back a lil ways from the beach - just out of this picture. Aplmac Posted November 4, 2007 #15 Share Posted November 4, 2007 so you can rent the jet skis at Accra beach? ===> yup!my hubby really wants to jet ski. ============> and he shall! Yes, those guys often pass up and down the South Coast right thru Rockley Bay/=Accra, and past it.. right on up to Dover and possibly beyond I should think -as far up as Miami Beach maybe(but not certain). I'd guess a lot depends of the sea conditions, per day Yes, you should see them. They come in close and scope the beach for business... Look interested and give them a wave! They're lookin for you.. you're lookin for them.. - simple hookup!
