There are no formal nights. Anything resembling a formal night on Carnival is purely coincidental. A good percentage of passengers however will dress up on those nights so designated; maybe 60% tops, so that they can take photos at the stops set up on the promenade deck and the atrium lounge, for mementos of their vacation.

 

A TRUE formal night is where EVERYONE dresses FORMAL, and stays dressed that way for the entire evening.

 

Thus, Carnival has no formal nights.
