Tables for two on the Crown in Late Traditional

Hi, We made it from the waitlist (started at number 80) for Traditional Dining late seating. Put the website does not say what size table. We requested a table for two. We had a table for two on the Regal per our original request. Just wondering if anyone knows about the Crown's arrangement of tables for two in the traditional dining room.

Regardless, we are always Happy Cruzers!:)

Usually reservation should specify "table for two". You should make sure your TA confirms this with Princess. However, you can check at the Purser's desk when you board. Often they switch things around without warning. We had booked a table for 2 in traditional dining and found we had been switched to Anytime. We were told to talk to the Maitre d between 1 and 4 pm in Da Vinci and he righted this immediately. Please be warned that the 'table for 2' arrangements on the Crown are actually a row of 4 tables next to each other with enough space for one person to walk in between them. Not the type of privacy one might expect. We had nice neighbors, though, and did not feel uncomfortable.

thanks Sailor Jo, the tables for 2 on the Regal were just as you describe so now I know to expect that on the Crown too.

B40, yes you have to say table for 2 even if you are only 2 in your party. Alot of 2s want to sit with others to meet and mix. Most tables are larger 4, 6 , 8 etc.

If it's you first cruise, I would start with a large table to try to see what the traditionaly dining is like. You usually met great folks and it adds to the cruise. We have started doing tables for two as we got more used to cruising.

They have tables for two in the anytime dining room (just as nice as the traditional dining room...actually....couldn't really tell the difference) and make a reservation for the same time every night. We were able to do that for four and they ended up saving the same table for us every night. It was the highlight!! Wonderful service and the same table, same wait staff and same table mates. We were also able to do this for a table for two if we wanted to. The maitre'd was wonderful in seeing our wishes were met.

Cruise Raider, we have done the same. But our reservations always seem to be at the time of late traditional so we thought we would try that dining room just to see what the service there was like and to avoid having to make the reservations each day, we were required to make them daily for anytime dining on the Grand.
