Lido Deck?

I'm on the Carnival Liberty on Oct. 21st and I am booked in a category 4F on the Lido deck.... It's just an inside cabin but is the Lido deck a good deck to be on? I was under the impression that it was a good deck to be on but I really don't know as I'm a first time cruiser. Also, it's a guarantee room...what does this mean...I could still get an upgrade if better rooms don't sell out?

Wow...you're cruising on my birthday. I was on the lido deck on the Destiny (inside room also) and I loved it. It was great being so close to all the outdoor activities. One of the things I love most about cruising is simply sitting outside and enjoying being at sea so having a room on the lido deck was perfect for me. Being within short walking distance of the 24 hour pizza has its advantages too :) .

I don't have any experience with guaranteed rooms so I can't provide any information on that.

Enjoy your cruise!!

guaranteed rooms are cool just because you pay a lower price and you are guaranteed that room you booked or something better . . but you will never be down-graded. I tend to go with the guaranteed rooms deals that my ccl booker books me.

SAVEs CASH and its fun to get an upgrade.

about the the lido deck . . its nice but i rather be down on level . . .it keeps the noise down.

have fun!

You got an awesome upgrade for booking a guarantee rate. Yes the cabins can change but it is rare. NEVER give your luggage to the porter until they verify the cabin number.

Look at the deck plans and find your way to the dining rooms. If you requested 6:15 or 8:30 dining your dining room will be mid ship- that is the elevator midship ship- you wont get there using the elevators on the back of the ship.

ALso-- deck 5- promanade deck is the deck that can take you front or back with no dead ends...
