eh2zed Posted August 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2007 How are the economy seats on Air New Zealand TransPacific flights? Are they the usual or have a bit more room.
Globaliser Posted August 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2007 http://www.seatguru.com and http://www.seatexpert.com have some numbers for you to look at. But I believe that the pitch in economy is slightly deeper than on many other major airlines - an extra couple of inches or so, although the 777s are a bit tighter. AuzzieCruiser Posted August 30, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2007 I've flown with Air NZ on their transpacific route, and couldn't fault them at all. The seats were comfy and wider than United or Qantas. If you get a 747, you get a 34 inch seat pitch compared with 31 on UA and Qantas. It is well worth it. PS The Ice Cream is to die for!!:D
SheilaNC Posted August 30, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2007 Depends on the plane. I've flown them 3 times and love the service but the space on the plane has differed each time. Agree the 747 is the best! It is my preferred airline but not flying them next year due to a great fare on Hawaiian :(
